Mischief Managed ;)
This here is the sacred Kailashpati Tree (A.K.A Cannonball Tree, Nagalingam). Sowed in the year 1947 at The Yoga Institute, this tree is 75 years old.

According to the lineage texts on prayer wheels, prayer wheels are used to accumulate wisdom and merit (good karma*) and to purify negativities (bad karma*). In Buddhism, Buddhas and Bodhisattvas have created a variety of skillful means (upaya) to help bring practitioners ever closer to realizing enlightenment.
Throwback to feeling tiny, a tiny dot in the universe.
The dream and hope to someday find real butter cookies and not sewing supplies has come true!
When in Mussoorie, do try this Pahadi Thali at Hapur Walo kee Dukaan. We fortunately got to know of this tiny place when we spoke to our airport pickup driver who happened to be a local. So so happy we found this gem of a place which we would have otherwise not known about & skipped. He suggested to go the next day because it’s quite a walk & you won’t find cabs here easily to go back to your hotel, so keep that in mind, especially if you are planning a dinner here. But we were way too excited to learn about this Thali place and we walked anyway. This is located in a very crowded area so parking can be a hassle. We walked to this place and to our surprise it was practically empty. Surprising because the food is beyond amazing. We were starving and the garma garam thali was a delight. There is just one man handling the place, so please be kind. He was preparing most of the things fresh and the Samosa was piping hot too! The shareable Thali cost us Rs. 800 and Rs.50 extra for half plate pakodas. The reviews on google were pretty bad which is why not many would have even tried this place. We were a bit skeptical too but only went because of the local recommendation, but the moment we saw the Thali & took the first bite, we were over the moon! The blend of spices was just prefect. Not spicy, not overpowering at all, fresh ingredients & such a homely earthy taste. So it you really wish to try Pahadi Khaana in Mussoorie, don’t skip Hapur Walo kee Dukaan. It’s possibly one of the best places to eat here. Unfortunately Mussoorie does not have a lot of places serving Garhwali style cuisine and we really wished to try more. We did try at another restaurant named Jeet, where the Thali was pretty okay compared to Hapur Walo Kee Dukaan, but we loved their Gahat Dal (Kulath) ka Paratha - that was not a part of the Thali, we ordered separately. Being a tourist area, most restaurants in Mussoorie serve Italian and Continental fare with a few exceptions serving Tibetan cuisine. Hapur & Jeet were one of the few places serving Pahadi cuisines. Both places served pure vegetarian food only. If you know any other place serving authentic Garhwali or Pahadi Khaana, please recommend ♥️
Took the newly constructed Metro last Saturday, from Dahisar to Aarey (Goregaon) on my way back home after meeting a friend. Loved it! Avoided all the peak hour traffic. It’s only functional till Goregaon Aarey as of now, but can’t wait for it to run all over the city.
♥️ Time flies with her!

🍕 🍷 If you wish to try authentic Napoletane Style Italian Wood Fired Pizzas, this place has one of the bests in Mumbai. Tastes close to what you’d find in Italy. There used to be Pizza Metro Pizza at the same spot, but they seem to have changed the name to Gustoso.

Day 2 of happy re-potting! A tiny Aloe Vera cutting Aai gifted me in 2016 and 6 years later, they multiplied. Finally #repotted these. Was a task but #happy that it doesn’t look messy now. From 2 pots of #Aloevera, I now have 7! ♥️
